Currently seeking a skilled ProFee Emergency Department & Facility Inpatient Coder with strong E/M coding experience in a quality-based production environment. The ProFee ED & Facility Inpatient Coder will apply appropriate E/M, diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health records, in a timely manner, to facilitate claims processing, proper reimbursement, data retrieval and analysis.

Review and abstract pertinent information for patient medical records to assign all appropriate evaluation and management, diagnoses, treatments, as well as surgical and non-surgical procedures for ED encounters and Facility Inpatient stays.
Ensure documentation supports all coded services. When services are not documented appropriately, seek to attain proper instruction, such as clarifying if a procedure was performed and/or requesting completion of the documentation in a timely manner, based upon the protocols developed by healthcare Resource Group and the client.
Rectify errors in the pre-processor and/or post-processor editing systems, when assigned by client.
Exercise excellent oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact and communicate with multiple professional disciplines.
Maintain production and quality standards as set forth by Healthcare Resource Group.
Maintain coding certification and educational requirements.
Other duties, as assigned by Management.
Certification: CPC, RHIT, CEDC, CCS, CCS-P, CIC or RHIA certification required
3+ years of coding experience to include Emergency Department (ED) E/M and Facility Inpatient (IP) coding experience
