Local American Academy Of Professional Coders Has New 2016 Leader In Tate-Weyer
Teresa Tate-Weyer, CPC, Director of Professional Fee Coding for HRG, to serve as 2016 president of local AAPC Chapter.
The local Spokane chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders elected Teresa Tate-Weyer, CPC as incoming chapter president for 2016. Tate will assume the position January 1st, 2016.
Teresa is currently serving as the 2015 chapter Vice President. In her current role as Vice President she works to assist the president in chapter proceedings that help further promote the benefits of being a credentialed professional coder.
As the 2016 incoming President, Teresa Tate-Weyer will look for ways to increase chapter membership while improving attendance at local meetings. Teresa also sees a more collaborative environment with other area chapters like in Coeur d’ Alene Idaho, due to their close proximity to Spokane.
Additionally she wants to mentor future chapter leaders throughout the year. As a member of the AAPC for well over 10+ years Teresa has watched the chapter grow and is looking forward to contributing her experience into helping the chapter further promote education among coders.

My goals for the upcoming year are to increase member participation and to collaborate with the neighboring chapter, in Coeur D’Alene, ID, to foster coder education and networking in our communities.” – said Teresa Tate-Weyer, CPC.
Teresa brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare coding and auditing. She currently works at Healthcare Resource Group as the Director of Professional Coding Services. She is responsible for overseeing remote Pro Fee coding services for a varied spectrum of clients including freestanding clinics, outpatient hospitals, emergency departments, rural health clinics and Indian health services. Teresa has worked for HRG since 2008.
Teresa holds a CPC certification with the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is a native of Washington State and travels as often as she can, to experience different regions and cultures.
