Catering To Healthcare Providers By Increasing Coast-To-Coast Coverage

The ability to focus on providing quality care for patients and not get caught in the web of navigating revenue cycle complications is more of a struggle than ever. To best serve healthcare providers facing these new challenges, HRG has increased their reach by adding James Lezzer and Mark Cordova, revenue cycle specialists, to HRG's business development team.

The MACRA Maze

As you may have heard, the permanent doc fix is here, MACRA (Medicare Access & CHIP Reauthorization Act).

The new legislation emphasizes quality by replacing a quilt work of existing programs. It also adds an additional category, Clinical Practice Improvement Activities, and places all programs under one Quality Payment Program (QPP) umbrella.

2017 Resolutions for a Healthier Revenue Cycle

The start of the new year is a great time to evaluate your facility’s past performance, identifying areas of excellence and areas for improvement. After evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of each department and your revenue cycle, crafting a set of resolutions can help you achieve optimal results and surpass prior year’s successes.

MACRA MIPS Quality...are you prepared?

Under Medicare, the CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) is wrapping 4 quality programs under one umbrella. Of the two paths under MACRA, MIPS (Merit Based Incentive Payment) and APM (Alternate Payment Model), we’ll concentrate on MIPS – which at least initially, most eligible clinician will be subject to.

Wondering if you are even subject to the new Medicare Quality Payment Program?

Sustaining Performance in the Face of Rapid Growth

As Healthcare Resource Group's COO I am constantly seeking to improve my leadership and our company’s success which both lead to even greater results for our clients.  Our accelerated growth has presented me with many opportunities for change and many challenges.  In any business having short term success is not the benchmark we want to measure ourselves against.

Being a "Great Place to Work" is Meaningful to Clients and Employees Alike

Two weeks ago, I got a call from Fortune Magazine and learned that HRG had been awarded the number 10 spot in the Great Places to Work in Healthcare.  I was overcome with pride and elation that the company I work for was awarded this prestigious award.

The Holistic Revenue Cycle Organization

Traditionally we think of revenue cycle as scheduling, registration, coding, billing, aged AR, denials, self-pay, and cash posting.  We often silo the business office and don’t include the entire organization when building goals and strategy for the revenue cycle.  If you want to build ownership and passion within a healthcare organization you need to include the entire team in your revenue cycle and financial success.
