Ferry County Hospital Contracts with HRG for Billing Services

Today, the Ferry County Public Hospital District #1 Board of Commissioners voted to contract with Healthcare Resource Group (HRG) to provide billing services for the District.  HRG is a respected healthcare billing company that assists numerous critical access hospitals.  According to Hospital Board Finance Committee Chair Ron Bacon, “This contract will greatly enhance our billing efficiency, and we expect that the change will be pleasing to our customers.”  In addition to this change the hospital will be terminating the contract with QUE Financial for billing services.

The hospital administration states that it has always been difficult to recruit, train, and retain qualified billing personnel due to multiple factors.  With HRG we will gain depth, expertise, and consistency.  According to Kelly Leslie, Chief Financial Officer of the District, “We will recapture up to one million in accounts receivable by mid-2012, and will enhance cash flow into the future.”  The Hospital Board of Commissioners is pleased that the current business office personnel will be appropriately absorbed into presently vacant or projected vacant positions within the District.
